Thanks to the powerful stories that were shared, community members have been learning about B:E’s mission and the incredible work they do. But that’s not all! We have a success story to celebrate as well. Celena Johnson, who was featured in a story last year, has achieved a remarkable milestone by getting accepted into the prestigious John Hopkins Masters in Nursing program. And guess what? The additional funds B:E received through Share the Spirit have allowed them to establish a new scholarship fund, supporting Celena and other young individuals on their educational journey. Spreading the Message of B:E: Thanks to the captivating stories shared through the Share the Spirit grant, more and more community members have been learning about Beyond Emancipation and their help in lives of young people. In 2022 at least 10 new donors found B:E through the feature, and donated gifts totaling over $9,000. To date, over $100,000 in donations can be attributed to donors who learned about B:E through Share the Spirit. This is a huge benefit for B:E and the young people they serve. Celebrating Celena’s Success: We are overjoyed to celebrate the success of Celena Johnson, whose inspiring journey was featured in a Share the Spirit story in 2022.
