Upset over her parents’ divorce and stuck in a drug-infested downtown neighborhood, Rachelle Ducker began using methamphetamine as a way to cope with her unhappiness at the tender age of 12.
The young Antioch girl ditched classes, hung out with friends who offered her drugs, ran away, wound up in juvenile hall, and dropped out of school by the time she was in ninth grade.
“I blamed my mom for the divorce and I was rebellious because of it,” Ducker, now 36, said.
