Just a few months ago, Marie Watson was homeless, shuffling between friends’ couches or guest rooms and sleeping some nights in her car.
She was about to turn 24 and wanted to die.
But her decision to seek help for depression led her to Rainbow Community Center of Contra Costa County, a Concord-based nonprofit that serves the LGBTQ community by offering counseling, social programs for youth and seniors, health testing and a food pantry.
